Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Building The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan - founded in Mumbai in 1938 by Dr. K.M. Munshi, a multifaceted personality, is a comprehensive national organisation with international outlook touching almost all segments of life. It is primarily and essentially an educational and cultural organisation which has grown from small beginning into an all - India intellectual, cultural and educational movement. Its avowed aim is to revitalise India's intellectual, cultural and educational movement, ancient values and reintegrate them to suit the changing needs of modern times. It has started more than 90 Centres in India and a few International Centres too with the avowed object of building up a commonwealth of faith, hope and human values. Hence Pandit Jawaharll Nehru once referred to it as "a very fine Institution which deserves every encouragement and support." The Bhavan is a Adventure in Faith.

Since its inception in 1984, this Centre has launched many activities and undertaken many programs which have created for it niche in this unique city rightly called the Educational and Cultural Capital of Maharashtra.

a) Life Membership - You can support the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan by becoming a member. You could choose any of the categories of membership listed here :

  • Corporate Member (Patron)

    • * Open to any Corporation, Organisation or Association.
    * Rs. 25,000/- payable once or with an Annual Subscription of Rs. 2,500/- for Ten years.
    * The Term of the Membership is for a period of 25 years.

  • Corporate member

    • * Open to any Corporation, Organisation or Association, Or
    * Rs. 10,000/- payable once or with an Annual Subscription of Rs. 1,000/- for Ten Years.
    * The Term of the membership is for a period of 25 years.

  • Institutional Membership

    • * Open to educational, cultural and philanthropic Institutions. Rs. 5,000/- payable once.
    * The Term of the Membership is for a period of 25 years.

  • Donor (Life) Membership.

    • * Open to an individual ( one time Rs. 3,000/-). Valid for life.

  • Associate Member

    • * open to individual only.
    * Rs. 180 per annum plus Rs. 15/- enrolment fee.
    * All members are entitled to free gift of any one of the Bhavan's Three periodicals.
    * Bhavan's Journal (English Fortnightly) Navneet (Hindi Monthly) or Navneet Samarpan (Gujarathi Monthly) and to a rebate of 25% on all Bhavan's Books.
